MEET THE FOUNDER
Hey yall!
I'm Bria Porter McCray— Founder, Head of People, HR Influencer, Career Strategist & Fractional Chief People Officer (Yes, I do it all!). My career journey began in undergrad at UNC Greensboro, where I earned my B.S. in Business with an HR focus. From there, I pursued my MBA at North Carolina A&T State University—Aggie Pride!
Over the past decade, I’ve had the opportunity to serve as the founding Head of People at early-stage tech startups and global, remote-first companies. Throughout my career, I’ve demonstrated that HR is about far more than policies or hiring—it’s about leading with empathy, shaping company culture, and creating environments where employees can thrive, not just survive. Just as my own culture shapes who I am, I believe company culture drives everything and is the core of any org’s success. How we treat our colleagues defines who we are and what we stand for. Company culture is defined in our actions, not in value statements.
I’m not your one-size-fits-all HR professional—and I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. I push boundaries, challenge the status quo, and throw “best practices” out the window when it comes to prioritizing people first. As a Fractional Chief People Officer, I deliver tailored, impactful strategies that align with the unique needs of every team I work with.
When I’m not building People strategies or sharing HR insights on social media, you’ll find me in Charlotte, NC (Queen City!), traveling the world with my amazing husband, or spoiling our fur babies, Hershey and Mocha.
